Kitty Fisher was founded by Ruth Stevens in 1983, and has been based in Nottingham since that time. The company has always specialised in high quality lace products which are exported throughout the world. Over the years, Kitty Fisher has been involved in 's design, wholesale and retail enterprises. In the late 1980's there were shops in Nottingham's Lace Hall - a former Unitarian church well known for it's remarkable Byrne Jones stained glass windows. At that time, we also had a bridal shop in Nottingham's trendy Lace Market and a quality gift shop adjacent to Nottingham Castle.
As well as a small retail empire, Kitty Fisher manufactured bridal ware and accessories for sale throughout the UK, and also developed strong ties with household name stores in the UK, USA, Germany and Japan, many of which we still supply today with classic tableware and ladies accessories.
All our lace is designed and made here in Nottingham, and is either 100% cotton (needlerun lace), or a mixture of cotton and rayon (guipure lace) which gives the lace a slight sheen and a hard-wearing quality. Our lace products can be laundered in a domestic washing machine.
